Preschool & PreK Program
Welcome to our Preschool and PreK program where we get them ready for "big kid school"! This age is all about expression. Kids are forming their own ideas on what they want and how they want to create. They will enjoy science experiments, pretend play, and create artwork while they solidify all the skills they will need as they flutter into Kindergarten. This program is split into two classrooms. Our first is our caterpillar room which is where kids will start their preschool journey. They will then move next door to our butterfly room for our PreK program. Preschool and PreK Program Schedule
Our caterpillars and butterflies thrive on following a daily routine. Our dedicated teachers form a routine that works best for their classrooms and students. Below is a sample schedule for our preschool/PreK program so you can get an inside peek of how Creative Scholars integrates education into play to keep the learning exciting.
Arrival
Upon arrival children will be provided with a nutritious breakfast to start their day. Once they are finished eating they can play however they choose at one of our learning centers until the rest of our friends have arrived and finished eating.
Nap
Now that our preschoolers are full it is time to rest to prepare for our next adventures. Once nap time is over they will be provided with a healthy snack before heading into our afternoon activities.
Morning Activities
Our morning activities include group time, outdoor play, activity centers and a school provided morning snack. Activity centers follow our weekly themes and are a time to engage in dramatic play, experiment with creative arts, write and do age-appropriate science and math activities.
Afternoon Activities
Kids will come back for additional thematic educational activities. We will also head back outside, weather permitting, to play and keep their bodies active and moving.
Lunch
After a busy morning it is lunch time! It is time to wash our hands and help set the table before enjoying a nutritious meal with our friends. We ask that parents provide a healthy well balanced lunch for their child.
Departure
It is clean up time! As children prepare to head home they are given time to explore and play in the activity centers on their own.

Curriculum
You will find our milestone-based curriculum, is designed to specifically meet the developmental needs of our scholars to prepare them for Kindergarten. Children will begin to achieve milestones the four main developmental areas. We offer a safe and inspiring environment for your preschooler to practice language, math, science and social skills through hands-on learning and playtime.

Cognitive Development
Cognitive development focuses on building our scholar's ability of critical thinking, memorizing and focus. They will build these skills through drama, painting, music, story telling and writing.

Physical Development
We help kids stay healthy by encouraging outdoor play, hopping and jumping outside and learning about nutritious foods!

Language Development
Preschoolers begin recognizing and identifying rhyming words. We help them do this by singing songs and playing games. We also begin reading a lot of book and strengthen writing skills.

Social-emotional Development
Our caterpillars and butterflies are building onto their skills of making new friends and communicating their feelings appropriately. We guide our scholars to talk about their feelings and show them how to resolve conflicts. This will help build confiedence prior to starting Kindergarten.
